Terms of Service

1. What Bet Data Labs is

Bet Data Labs is an independent sports data and information service. We collect prices that sportsbooks post, model the games and players behind them, and publish projections, fair prices, cards and a nightly Slate. It is offered for information and entertainment.

• We are not a sportsbook. We do not accept, place, broker or settle wagers, and we never hold your money for betting. No bet is placed through Bet Data Labs.
• Links that open a sportsbook take you to that book. Anything you do there is between you and the book.
• Bet Data Labs is an independent data and analytics service. We are not a sportsbook and we do not accept wagers. No outcome is guaranteed. Past performance does not predict future results.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 21 years old.
• You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you are, including whether sports wagering is legal there. Using Bet Data Labs does not make wagering legal anywhere it is not.
• You may not use Bet Data Labs if we have previously ended your account for breaking these Terms.

3. Accounts and invites

• Membership is invite-only during the beta. An invite code works once.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in, your account or member content with anyone else, and keep your email and password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Give us an email address you control. Sign-in links and account notices go there.
• Member numbers, Founding Member seats and Partner titles are part of the beta program. They are not property, cannot be sold or transferred, and carry only the benefits we state when they are offered.

4. Information, not advice

Everything we publish (projections, fair prices, edges, cards, plays, stakes in units, hit rates and grades) is an estimate based on data that can be incomplete, late or wrong. Sports results are uncertain, and no projection, price or play is a promise of any result.

• Nothing on Bet Data Labs is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or advice personal to you.
• Every decision to wager, and how much, is yours alone, and so is the result. Only ever bet what you can afford to lose.
• Prices move. Always confirm the line and the price at your sportsbook before you act on anything you see here.

5. Subscriptions and billing

During the beta, membership is provided without charge and we do not collect payment details. When paid plans launch:

• We will show you the plan, the price, the billing period and the renewal terms before you are charged anything, and nobody is moved onto a paid plan without agreeing to it.
• Paid plans will renew automatically until cancelled. You will be able to cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues to the end of the period already paid.
• Payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We will not store full card numbers.
• Founding Member pricing applies as described when it is offered, for as long as the membership stays active.
• We will update this section with the full billing and refund terms before billing opens.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, republish, sublicense or commercially exploit Bet Data Labs content, including posting member-only cards, plays, prices or the Slate in paid groups, channels, Discords or other services.
• Scrape, crawl, or use bots, scripts or other automated means to access or copy the site or its data, beyond the RSS feeds and share links we provide for that purpose.
• Share your account or sign-in, or let anyone else use member content through your account.
• Copy, reverse engineer or attempt to extract our models, source code or data, except as the law expressly allows.
• Get around access controls, rate limits or the members-only gate, probe or attack the site, or interfere with its operation or other people's use of it.
• Use Bet Data Labs for anything unlawful, or to harass, impersonate or mislead anyone.

Sharing a link to a public page or a share link we generate is welcome. That is what they are for.

7. Our content and your license

The site, the brand, the models and everything we publish belong to Bet Data Labs or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use it for your own non-commercial purposes while you follow these Terms. Anything you add to your account, such as your Ledger entries and notes, stays yours; you let us store and process it to run the service for you.

8. Sportsbooks and third-party data

Prices, lines, schedules, injuries and statistics come from sportsbooks and other third-party sources we do not control. They can be delayed, wrong or withdrawn. Sportsbooks are independent businesses; we are not their agent and are not responsible for their offers, limits, settlements or conduct. Team and league names are used only to identify the games.

9. Responsible gambling

If betting stops being fun, stop. Call or text 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738) any time. Members can pause their account with Take a Break, and our responsible gambling page explains how to self-exclude at your sportsbooks.

10. Ending your account

• You can stop using Bet Data Labs whenever you like, and delete your account at any time from your account page.
• We may suspend or end your account, or remove access to any part of the service, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. Where it is reasonable we will tell you why.
• Sections 4, 6, 7 and 11 to 14 continue to apply after an account ends.

11. Disclaimers

Bet Data Labs is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time, or that any number on it is correct.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bet Data Labs and its owners, partners and team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, wagering losses, lost data or lost opportunities, arising from your use of or reliance on the service, even if we were told they were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars ($50). Some places do not allow some of these limits; where that is so, they apply only as far as the law permits.

13. Indemnity

If your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees) that result.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please email us; most problems are solved by a conversation.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes, for example when billing opens. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will tell members by email or on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use Bet Data Labs after that means you accept the updated Terms.
