Concerned about your gambling?
Bet Data Labs is for people 21 and over. We publish numbers, and no number makes a bet safe. If betting has stopped being fun, or you are chasing losses, the most useful thing on this page is the phone number below. It is free, confidential and open around the clock.

Both lines connect you with trained, confidential support near you. The National Council on Problem Gambling at ncpgambling.org lists state programs, treatment providers and support groups, and 1800myreset.org offers chat if you would rather not talk.
Signs it is becoming a problem
Any one of these is worth taking seriously:
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can afford to lose.
- Chasing losses: raising stakes to win back what is gone.
- Borrowing money, using bill money or selling things to bet.
- Hiding how much or how often you bet from people close to you.
- Feeling restless, anxious or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Thinking about betting when you are working, with family, or trying to sleep.
- Betting to escape stress, boredom or low mood.
- Missing work, school or time with people because of betting.
Habits that keep it a hobby
- Set a bankroll you can lose without it changing your life, and a unit size inside it. Our Bankroll page does the arithmetic.
- Decide your limit before the games start, not during them.
- Treat a stake as the price of entertainment, never as income.
- Use your sportsbook's deposit, wager and time limits. Every licensed US book offers them.
- Do not bet when drinking, upset, or trying to win something back.
- Take regular days off. A slate will be there tomorrow.
Self-exclude at your sportsbook
Self-exclusion blocks you from a sportsbook for a period you choose, often a year, five years or for good. It is the strongest tool there is, and it is free.
- At each book: DraftKings, FanDuel, Fanatics and every other licensed book let you set limits, take a cooling-off period or self-exclude from the responsible gaming section of your account settings. Their support team can do it for you as well.
- Statewide:most states with legal betting run a self-exclusion list that covers every licensed operator in the state at once. Search your state's gaming regulator, or find it through ncpgambling.org. In Connecticut, the Department of Consumer Protection runs the voluntary self-exclusion program.
- On your devices and bank:blocking software and many banks' gambling-transaction blocks add another layer.
Take a Break on Bet Data Labs
Members can pause their own account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 months from their account page. During a break you are treated as signed out: tonight's cards and the Slate are hidden and member email stops. A break can be made longer but never shorter, so it holds on the night you would want to end it.
If you would like us to close your account instead, use Delete account on the same page, or email hello@betdatalabs.com and we will do it for you.
Worried about someone else
The same helplines support family and friends. Call or text 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738) or call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537)to talk through what you are seeing and what might help. Gam-Anon runs support groups for people affected by someone else's gambling.
